Jobs: Wow, It's an Incredibly Depressing Time to Be a Recent College Graduate(via @Jezebel)
I’m immensely disappointed at how a large chunk of comments on a Jezebel article about how recent college graduates have a hard time finding work are recommending the “pull yerself up by yer bootstraps!” line of rationale.
I worked on the student newspaper, had two full-time internships, graduated in three years (while a member of multiple student organizations and an intercollegiate activity that took a great deal of my time), got my master’s degree in less than two more years, worked a job related to my fields (where I worked up to 90 hours a week — and, no, that is not an exaggeration), and I didn’t do enough? Go fuck yourself, you entitled brats who have the courage to imply you worked harder than me.
